Eastertime

Eastertime

Through the Eastertime we  were visited by one of our favourite entertainers Rachel Hyde. She is very good with our residents and she has a fabulous repertoire of good old fashioned songs which many of our residents like to sing along to.

Good Friday saw us with delicious Hot cross buns with our cups of tea while listening to some relaxing music or for those wishing to take part table top activities such as puzzles, dominoes and magazines were available.

On Saturday we gave some time to our residents who like snooker and watched Ronnie O’ Sullivan taking part in a very long although interesting game at the Crucible and the Snooker World Championships on the small screen. This continues every day until the beginning of May when we can watch the final.

Easter Sunday saw a busy time as we were visited by many family members. The residents were served a fabulous feast of a beautiful roast dinner and all the trimmings followed by chocolates of all shapes, varieties and sizes during the afternoon. we had the chance to eat many chocolates. We were listening to Songs of Praise on the big screen during the day for background music while being visited by loved ones.

Bank Holiday Monday, always a happy time and we spent some rewarding and worthwhile hours reading poetry and short stories on a one-to-one basis, in rooms and also in the lounge. We had many family visitors and we were playing some games as well as dominoes whilst in the lounge and for those who enjoyed the latest topical events, we looked through a few different newspapers. A lovely day for our residents and their families
